Ausgehend von der Grundorganisation des Vertebratensystems werden Struktur- und Funktionsdifferenzierungen der telencephalen Abschnitte im menschlichen bzw. Primatengehirn vorgestellt. Schwerpunktthemen der Veranstaltung befassen sich mit Funktionstheorien für die einzelnen Loben des menschlichen Cortex. Die Relevanz dieser neurobiologischen Konzepte für medizinische und psychologische Arbeitsfelder wird diskutiert.
