Der Kurs bietet eine Einführung in die Datenanalyse mit R. R ist eine kostenlose Programmiersprache und Arbeitsumgebung für statistische Analysen.
Der erste Teil des Kurses dient der Einführung in die R-Syntax und die Student*innen werden in die vielfältigen Möglichkeiten Daten in R zu strukturieren und grafisch aufzuarbeiten eingeführt. Der zweite Teil widmet sich der Inferenzstatistik. Wiederholt und angewendet werden einfaktorielle Verfahren um Unterschiede und Zusammenhänge zu testen und deren Handhabung in R. Im späteren Verlauf des Kurses wird zu multivariaten Analyseverfahren übergegangen.
Die Seminare Statistik in R (A) und (B) haben die gleichen Inhalte. Bitte melden Sie sich deshalb nur in einem der Seminare an. Sind in einem der Seminare mehr Teilnehmer als in dem anderen angemeldet, werden Teilnehmer automatisch in das andere Seminar verschoben, bitte überprüfen Sie deshalb in der ersten Vorlesungswoche, in welchem Seminar Sie als Teilnehmer eingetragen sind.

Das Seminar dient weniger der Einführung in die Statistik als vielmehr der Einführung in R. Für die Wiederholung statistischer Begriffe wird der vorherige Besuch der Veranstaltung "Aufbaukurs Empirische Methoden" dringend empfohlen.
