300680 MA: Kolloquium Soziologie der globalen Welt (Ko) (SoSe 2022)

In this seminar, students from MA-level degree programmes in the social sciences, sociology in particular, can present proposals for their MA thesis and work-in-progress. The seminar is broadly conceived and topics can include, but not limited to, transnational and global migration processes, democratisation, knowledge production and circulation, belonging, mobilities and connections between and within global South & global North, transnational social spaces and economies, transnational social movements and religious communities, or global value chains.
The colloquium will take place in four blocks (subjected to modifications depending on the number of presenters): 8:00-12:00 on April 26th, May 3rd, June 14th and 14:00-18:00 on May 11th. The aim is for each participant to have a slot of 45-60 minutes to present their work and gather feedback from the other participants and the convenors. An abstract by April 15th is the requirement to be included into the program. Participants are also required to upload their text one week before their session. You can present in either English or German.
