Die Vorlesung vermittelt die Grundlagen des betriebswirtschaftlichen Rechnungswesens zur Buchführung und Erstellung von Finanzberichten, insbesondere dem Jahresabschluss. Dabei wird ausgehend von den Zielen und Prinzipien des betriebswirtschaftlichen Rechnungswesens auf die in Deutschland gültigen Rechtsgrundlagen eingegangen. Es wird das System der doppelten Buchführung vorgestellt und die einzelnen Schritte erklärt, die im Rahmen der Buchführung und Finanzberichterstellung bis hin zur Kapitalflussrechnung zu unternehmen sind. Dabei sollen Übungsaufgaben zur Veranschaulichung des Vorlesungsstoffs in der Vorlesung besprochen werden.
