This course is an introduction to the English language for international students only. It is designed for beginners and no previous knowledge is required. Basic grammar and vocabulary are introduced and speaking, reading and writing are practiced through in-class participation, Teaching and learning are based on The New Cambridge English Course level 1 by Michael Swan and Catherine Walter and students should plan on buying both the course and the practice book since homework will be assigned on a regular basis from the practice book
