Bei der Interpretation der Daten von PISA 2000 und PISA 2003 hat das deutsche Pisa-Konsortium nicht nur auf den engen Zusammenhang zwischem dem sozio-ökonomischen Hintergrund von SchülerInnen und deren Kompetenzerwerb aufmerksam gemacht, sondern auch offen gelegt, dass es in Deutschland im internationalen Vergleich große Unterschiede hinsichtlich des sozialen und wirtschaftlichen Status von Familien mit und ohne Hintergrund Migrationshintergrund gibt. Das Seminar wird diesen Befunden nachgehen, nach deren Bedeutung für den Bildungsverlauf von SchülerInnen sowie nach dem Beitrag der Schule zum Zustandekommen von Bildungsungleichheiten fragen.
