In dieser Werkstatt gibt es eine Einführung in das schulpraktische Gitarrenspiel; im Vordergrund steht das Begleiten von Liedern mit Akkorden und verschiedenen Schlag- und Zupftechniken.
Die Liedauswahl orientiert sich am Studiengang, aber auch moderne Lieder aus
der Popularmusik werden gepielt. Außerdem soll die Transposition in verschiedene Tonarten thematisiert werden.
Die Werkstatt richtet sich an alle Studierenden ohne oder mit wenigen Erfahrungen mit diesem Instrument; eine Gitarre muss mitgebracht werden.
