Die Veranstaltung ist dem Seminartyp ¿Didaktische Fragen des Schulsports¿ zuzuordnen.

In diesem Seminar wird der Sportlehrerberuf in den Blick genommen. Thematisiert werden unter anderem die historische Entwicklung des Sportlehrerberufs, die individuellen und gesellschaftlichen Erwartungen an die Berufsrolle, die Arbeitsbedingungen, die aktuellen politischen Diskussionen um die Veränderungen der beruflichen Bedingungen von Sportlehrkräften und die daraus zu ziehenden Konsequenzen. Besonderes Augenmerk wird auf die Relevanz von Geschlechterzugehörigkeit von Sportlehrkräften sowie auf die Altersproblematik gerichtet. Zur Beschreibung und Analyse werden unterschiedliche Forschungsansätze der Sportwissenschaft herangezogen, so dass zum Beispiel historische, stresstheoretische, geschlechtertheoretische sowie professionstheoretische Aspekte berücksichtigt werden.
