Alfred Schütz (1899-1969) lieferte grundlegende Arbeiten zur philosophischen Fundierung der Sozialwissenschaften und hat dadurch das theoretische und methodologische Verständnis von sozialer Wirklichkeit in den Sozialwissenschaften entschieden beeinflusst. Begriffe, wie zum Beispiel Fremdverstehen, Weil-Motiv, Um-zu-Motiv, Interpretative Soziologie, Theorie der Lebenswelt, Soziologie des Alltags, Konstrukte erster Ordnung und Konstrukte zweiter Ordnung etc. sind ‘Werkstücke’ seines Schaffens, die in unterschiedlicher Art und Weise die Ausrichtung und Konzeption theoretischer und empirischer Forschungsansätze (Ethnomethodologie, Konversationsanalyse, Gattungsanalyse) nachhaltig geprägt haben.
In dieser Veranstaltung werden wir anhand von Primärtexten die Grundbegriffe der verstehenden Soziologie diskutieren, Auszüge aus seiner Theorie der Lebenswelt und insbesondere seine Anregungen zur Methodologie der Sozialwissenschaften behandeln. Die zweite Hälfte der Veranstaltung ist seinen Auswirkungen auf die qualitative Sozialforschung gewidmet.
Bei entsprechender Witterung sind Diskussionsrunden im Grünen angedacht.
