This Methods Class is part of the graduate training program of the Leibniz-ScienceCampus "Studying Regional Development Dynamics and their Political Consequences", SOEP RegioHub at Bielefeld University (SOEP@UBi), see https://www.uni-bielefeld.de/einrichtungen/soep-regiohub/. In addition, the class is open to PhD students of the BGHS and BiGSEM Graduate Schools at Bielefeld University.
The class covers different types of geospatial data, potential data sources, and methods to analyze and combine geospatial data with survey data (with a focus on Germany and SOEP data). External speakers will be invited to share their expertise. PhD students will also have a chance to receive feedback on their own research applications using geospatial data.
The bi-weekly class will take place online on Tuesday, 10:15 to 11:45am via Zoom:
