Im Raum W4-135 findet vom 21.3. – 01.04.2011 ein 10-tägiger Blockkurs zur Einführung in das Arbeiten mit Geographischen Informationssystemen (GIS) statt (Mo-Fr. jeweils ganztags von 9:15 - 17:00 Uhr). Der Kurs wird von einem externen Diplom-Umweltwissenschaftler (Absolvent des Bielefelder Umweltstudienganges) gehalten und basiert auf der Software GeoMedia Professional, die im Rahmen eines 'Education Grant' der Firma Intergraph den TeilnehmerInnen kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Die Veranstaltung wendet sich an Studierende des Bachelor-Studiengangs Umweltwissenschaften und des Master Studiengangs Ecology and Diversity. Die Veranstaltung kann sowohl als individuelle Ergänzung als auch als Erweiterungsmodul belegt werden. Die Teilnehmerzahl ist auf 12 Studierende begrenzt.
In diesem Semester ist dieser Kurs reserviert für diejenigen BewerberInnen, die im Winter-Semester 2010/11 nicht berücksichtigt werden konnten. Sollten aus diesem Personenkreis Absagen erfolgen, so können weitere InteressentInnen nachrücken. Die freien Plätze werden im Losverfahren vergeben. Anmeldeschluß ist Fr. 11.03.2011
Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme ist die Anmeldung per e-mail an w.beyschlag@uni-bielefeld.de. Bitte in jedem Fall Name, Matrikelnummer Studienfach und Semesterzahl angeben. Außerdem bitte unbedingt angeben, ob ein eigener Rechner benutzt werden kann.
