Der Mensch integriert und kombiniert Informationen aller Sinne zu einer einheitlichen und kohärenten Wahrnehmung, um eine zielgerichtete Handlungssteuerung zu ermöglichen. In diesem Modul werden grundlegende Zusammenhänge zwischen der Aufnahme und Verarbeitung von multisensorischen Sinnesreizen durch das Nervensystem und der Verhaltenskontrolle durch praktische Studien erarbeitet. Das Spektrum der experimentellen Ansätze reicht von der Messung neuronaler Aktivität bis zur quantitativen Untersuchung von Verhaltensreaktionen und Modellsimulationen.
