Das Seminar setzt sich in historischer, soziologischer und systematischer Perspektive mit dem Stellenwert und der Vermittlung von 'Wissen' auseinander. Zunächst wird diskutiert, welche Wissensbegriffe den jeweiligen Perspektiven, Bsp. "Wissensgesellschaft" zu grunde liegen. Dabei soll der originäre Vermittlungsaspekt im Hinblick auf populäre Formen, wie die Historischen Beiträge im Fernsehen, der expandieren Industrie populärwiss. Romane (z. B. Kehlmann,Irvin D. Yalom etc.) analysiert und systematisiert werden.
