Die Veranstaltung möchte Anfängern die historische Dimension des Rechts vermitteln. Dabei geht es nicht nur um eine Einführung in die Rechtsgeschichte, sondern auch um die allge-meinhistorischen und geistesgeschichtlichen Grundlagen des geltenden Rechts. Die Vorlesung widmet sich auch der Geschichte des Privatrechts unter dem BGB und damit der juristischen Zeitgeschichte. Die Einbeziehung ausländischer Rechte ist selbstverständlich. Juristische Allgemeinbildung ist unabdingbar, um in der zunehmenden Konkurrenz mit anderen europäischen Juristen bestehen zu können.
Fremdsprachenkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich.
Durch erfolgreiche Teilnahme an einer Semesterabschlussklausur kann ein Leistungsnachweis gem. § 21 Abs. 2 Nr. 3, § 20 Abs. 1 Nr. 4 StudPrO (kleiner Grundlagenschein) erworben werden. Durch einen Vortrag kann die Bescheinigung über den Erwerb einer Schlüsselqualifikation gem. §§ 49 Abs. 1 Nr. 4, 2 Abs. 3, 16 StudPrO erworben werden.
