250012 Die Herstellung von Bildungsungleichheit durch die Grundschule (S) (SoSe 2011)

Seitdem der besonders enge Zusammenhang von sozialer Herkunft und Schulleistungen in Deutschland durch die internationalen Leistungsvergleichsstudien öffentlichkeitswirksam belegt wurden, steht die Frage "Bildungsbenachteiligung" im Zentrum der erziehungswissenschaftlichen Diskussion. In diesem Seminar sollen zunächst die empirischen und begrifflichen Grundlagen der Bildungsungleichheit erarbeitet werden, um sich sodann mit verschiedenen Erklärungsansätzen zu beschäftigen. Insgesamt sollen im Seminar nicht nur die sog. primären Herkunftseffekte, sondern vor allem auch die Effekte in den Fokus genommen werden, die durch das Schulsystem selbst erzeugt werden. Eine eigenständige empirische Auseinandersetzung zu dieser Frage stellt einen Teil der Arbeit im Seminar dar.
