300590 The New Institutionalism - Theory and Application (S) (WiSe 2019/2020)

What’s so “new” about this new institutionalism? This class will explore the origins, developments and recent applications of neo-institutionalist theory in the social sciences. In the first part of this seminar, we will look into the different developments of neo-institutionalist theory mainly within the field of political science and sociology. In the second part of this seminar, participants will have the opportunity to discuss their research projects within the framework of neo-institutionalism.
