Theories and Concepts of Health Economics zielt darauf, die Studierenden in die
theoretischen und konzeptionellen Grundlagen der Gesundheitsökonomie einzuführen und
ihnen basale Kenntnisse der ökonomischen Rahmenbedingungen und Strukturvarianten
von Gesundheitssystemen zu vermitteln. Außerdem sollen die Studierenden befähigt werden,
sich mit speziellen theoretischen Konzepten der Gesundheitsökonomie auseinanderzusetzen:
Sie sollen die Markt- und Regulierungstheorie im Gesundheitssystem und vor allem
mikroökonomische Konzepte des Marktverhaltens kennen- und verstehen lernen. Ein weiteres
Ziel besteht darin, Kenntnisse der verschiedenen Finanzierungsoptionen gesundheitlicher
Leistungen in Krankenversicherungssystemen zu vermitteln.

Das Modul wird mit einer modulbezogenen Einzelleistung abgeschlossen. Voraussetzung
für die Vergabe von Leistungspunkten ist die aktive Teilnahme an den Präsenzveranstaltungen,
die Bearbeitung der Übungsaufgaben in den Präsenzveranstaltungen und während der
Selbststudienphasen sowie das Bestehen der modulbezogenen Einzelleistung.
