This is the academic IELTS test preparation class.
It is NOT the general IELTS test preparation. The two IELTS tests are very different and for different purposes.
This course will focus on all the main language skills and exam techniques and strategies to enable students to obtain the
best grade.
You will do regular exam practice and receive feedback, correction and advice. The focus will also be on exam strategies for the four skills areas of reading, writing, speaking and listening. Particular attention will be given to grammar and academic vocabulary needed for all the four skills.
Students must hand in two essays to obtain course credit.
Successful completion of another B1-rated course or C-Test of the Language Center (for dates please see http://www.uni-bielefeld.de/fachsprachenzentrum/tests_and_certs/placement.html)
The required course materials will be notified at the start of the course.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.

Regular class participation and expectation that students attend at least 80% of the lessons.
Students are also required to hand in two written essays by the end of the course to receive course credit.
