In this seminar, we will elaborate and discuss the question of whether or why movements can be called "intelligent". To this end, theories and experimental approaches that highlight the role of cognition in human movement organization and planning will be presented and discussed. Next to a brief general introduction to neural and cognitive motor control, another aim of this seminar is to learn how to work scientifically (e.g., develop own research questions). Students will be required to read, present and discuss scientific papers. The seminar will be held in English.
