Eingeführt wird in einen wichtigen Bereich der germanistischen Grundlagenforschung: die wissenschaftliche Erschließung von Altdrucken des 15.-17. Jahrhunderts. Dabei helfen wir mit, den Vorbesitzer-Bestand der Franziskaner-Bibliothek in Bielefeld zu ermitteln, der noch in weiten Teilen in der Bibliothek des Ratsgymnasiums vorhanden ist (aufgelöst wurde das Franziskanerkloster 1829) und beschreiben die Drucke, wie es in den Bibliographien des Gesamtkatalog der Wiegendrucke oder bei Gerhard Dünnhaupt (Barockbibliographie) üblich ist. Teilweise sind auch Bestände heute in Münster, die eventuell mit einem älteren Katalog noch gezielt ermittelt werden können.
Im Wintersemester können dann 3-4 Studierende des Seminars ein semesterbegleitendes Schulpraktikum absolvieren und unterstützen die Schüler-AG (Mittwoch, 6. Stunde) bei den Arbeiten der Schüler (Recherche im Internet, Karlsruher Virtueller Katalog, Identifizierung von Vorbesitzern).
Im Sommersemester soll ein Projekseminar folgen, in dem Schüler und Studenten eine Ausstellungskonzeption erarbeiten und die Ausstellung in der zweiten Jahreshälfte vorbereiten.

Geeignet ist das Seminar für Studierende der Germanistik mit dem Profil Lehramt an Gymnasien oder Fachwissenschaft.
