Der Kurs richtet sich an Studenten, die im Kontext ihrer Masterarbeit ihre Statistikkenntnisse auffrischen und den Umgang mit R lernen möchten. R ist eine kostenlose Programmiersprache und Arbeitsumgebung für statistische Analysen.
Im ersten Teil des Kurses erlernen die Studierenden die vielfältigen Möglichkeiten in R Daten grafisch deskriptiv aufzuarbeiten. Der zweite Teil widmet sich der Inferenzstastistik. Wiederholt werden Verfahren um Unterschiede und Zusammenhänge kategorieller und kontinuierlicher Variablen zu testen (Chi-Quadrat Tests, t-Tests, Anova, Korrelation ua.) und deren Handhabung in R.
