Die Veranstaltungen mit dem Titel "Leben und Studieren in Bielefeld" sind ein Angebot für ERASMUS- und andere Kooperationsstudierende, die während ihres Studienaufenthaltes in Bielefeld ihre Deutschkenntnisse erweitern wollen. Entsprechend der Vorkenntnisse und Interessen der Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer werden verschiedene Bereiche der deutschen Grammatik behandelt sowie lexikalische Übungen durchgeführt. Außerdem werden diverse landeskundliche Themen besprochen.
In der Gruppe E werden Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer erwartet, die nur über geringe Deutschkenntnisse verfügen. Ziel des Kurses ist es, die Deutschlernenden auf das Sprachniveau A2 zu führen. Im Vordergrund stehen dabei Wortschatzarbeit und die Vermittlung grammatischer Grundkenntnisse. Neben anderen Unterrichtsmaterialien wird in dieser Gruppe das Lehrwerk "Schritte international" eingesetzt, dessen Erwerb für die Teilnahme am Unterricht vorausgesetzt wird.
