Das Seminar setzt sich mit der gegenwärtigen Bearbeitung sozialer Probleme auseinander. Dabei geht es unter anderem um die Analyse unterschiedlicher Formen der sozialen Kontrolle und der Verschiebungen der Kontrolllogiken. Eine spezifisches Augenmerk wird auf den Begriff des Risikos sowie auf gegenwärtige Versuche einer Reetablierung von Zwang Unterwerfung in sozialpädagogischen Kontexten gelegt.
