Das Seminar ist in vier Teile untergliedert. Im ersten Teil wird das Verhältnis von reproduktiver Arbeit und Geschlecht anhand verschiedener Fragen thematisiert. Inwiefern also hat sich bspw. die Verteilung und Aushandlung reproduktiver Arbeit im Rahmen von Familien oder familienähnlichen Beziehungen gewandelt? Antworten werden anhand unterschiedlicher Ebenen (bspw. normative versus institutionelle Ebene) entwickelt und systematisiert. Im Anschluss daran werden verschiedene Beispiele reproduktiver Arbeit fokussiert und auf ihre Veränderungen hin geprüft (z. B. Männer und Familienaufgaben, späte Familie etc.). Mit der Frage, inwiefern Sorgebeziehungen zu so genannten 'modernen Lebensentwürfen' passen, leitet das Seminar in den dritten inhaltlichen Teil über. Hier stehen verschiedene Implikationen von Sorgebeziehungen im Mittelpunkt (z. B. Figurationen und Interdependenzen, Care-Debatte etc.). Im Anschluss daran wird die Frage nach der Bedeutung der erarbeiteten Ergebnisse für entsprechende Beratungsformen im Mittelpunkt stehen.

Die Bereitschaft zur Mitgestaltung des Seminars (Referate, Diskussionen, Gruppenarbeiten, Fallarbeit etc.) sowie die Lektüre vorbereitender Texte werden vorausgesetzt.
Master of Arts: Voraussetzung ist die Zulassung zum Master of Arts Erziehungswissenschaft
