Belastende Ereignisse und bedrohliche Stresssituationen gelten als Risikofaktoren für unerwünschte Verhaltensweisen, psychosolziale Beeinträchtungen ebenso wie für Schulversagen. Demgegenüber zeigen empirische Studien, dass es einer beträchtlichen Anzahl von Kindern gelingt, trotz solcher Belastungen ihr Leben erfolgreich zu meistern. Was unterscheidet solche Kinder von denjenigen, die scheitern? Wie können resiliente Faktoren gefördert werden? Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, wichtige Unterstützungsfaktoren kennenzulernen, die auch im schulischen Erfahrungsraum wirksam werden können. Dieses Seminar ist zugleich vorbereitend für praktische Durchführung der Fallstudie Teil II im Sommersemester 2011.
