Ende Mai 2010 wird das größte Kunstprojekt der Kulturhauptstadt eröffnet. Dann haben die Besucher 100 Tage Zeit, um die insgesamt acht Ausstellungsräume auf der Emscherinsel zu besuchen. 40 Künstlerinnen und Künstler kommunizieren in Ihren 20 Projekten mit diesem schmalen Landstrich, der sich zwischen Emscher und Rhein-Herne -Kanal erstreckt und von Castrop-Rauxel bis Oberhausen reicht.
Singing mountains, Schlagende Wetter, Lichtinstallationen der Klärbecken sind zu besichtigen, eingeladen wird zum Warten auf den Fluss oder zur Gesellschaft für Amateurornithologen...
Diesen ungewöhnliche Ausstellungsort in einer Länge von 34 km werden wir mit Fahrrädern zwischen Oberhausen und Herne erkunden. Die Tour wird ca. 6 Stunden dauern mit Zeit und Pausen an den einzelnen Kunststationen (Station 2 - 8).
Teilnahme: ½ LP; inhaltl. Vorbereitung einer Station (fakultativ): ½ LP
