Die Einbettung von Individuen in unterschiedliche soziale Kontexte hat entscheidenden Einfluss auf individuelle Präferenzen, Einstellungen und Handlungen. Relevante soziale Kontexte können dabei etwa heterogene Familien- und Haushaltsstrukturen, Netzwerke oder Betriebe sein.
In diesem Seminar wird in einem ersten (theoretischen) Teil zunächst eine Bestandsaufnahme über die Relevanz der synchronen (und diachronen) Einbettung in unterschiedliche Kontexte vorgenommen und entsprechende Erklärungsansätze diskutiert. In einem zweiten (empirischen) Teil werden dann methodische Ansätze erlernt, um diese inhaltliche Problematik adäquat zu modellieren.Wir werden im zweiten Teil mit der Statistik Software Stata arbeiten. Grundkenntnisse der Datenaufbereitung und der Regressionsanalyse mit Stata sind von Vorteil (etwa: Kohler/Kreuter 2008).
