Die Tutorien dienen dazu, den Studierenden mehr Gelegenheit zur aktiven Aneignung der fachlichen Inhalte der Vorlesungen im Basismodul Biologie Theorie I zu geben. Das Verständnis von Prinzipien und Schlüsselkonzepten der Biologie soll dadurch vertieft werden. Die Tutorien werden von Kommilitonen höherer Semester geleitet, die das Basismodul selbst bereits erfolgreich absolviert haben. Vorlesungsbegleitet werden in den wöchentlich stattfindenden Tutorien inhaltliche Schwerpunkte und Schwierigkeiten thematisiert und mit Übungsaufgaben aufgearbeitet. Zusätzlich zu den Inhalten der Vorlesungen werden Lernstrategien erarbeitet, die auch im Hinblick auf die Klausurvorbereitung von Relevanz sind.
