Recently, the use of media in classrooms of any subject has been debated more heatedly than ever. The Twitter hashtags #twitterlehrerzimmer, #BayernEdu or simply #digitalebildung provide evidence of that debate. Of course, the arrival of digital media in German classrooms has played the role of a catalyst for this discussion.
However, using media in an appropriate, subject-related and reflected way has always been a key competence for every teacher. In this class, we will therefore examine and try out various media, both digital and non-digital, in order to find out about their potentials for EFL lessons.
