Diese Veranstaltung ist die erste einer Reihe, die sich im Laufe mehrerer Semester vornimmt, ausgewählte theoretische und methodische Grundlagen zu erarbeiten, um verschiedene Fragen zur menschlichen Sprachfähigkeit in ihrer kognitiven und kommunikativen Dimension anhand der romanischen Sprachen zu beantworten.
In diesem Semester soll die sprachliche Relativität im Mittelpunkt unserer Überlegungen stehen. Wie können „Sprache“ und „Denken“ am besten definiert werden? In welcher Beziehung stehen „Sprache“ und „Denken“ zueinander? Welchen Einfluß haben Sprachfähigkeit und historische Sprachen auf die Kognition? Bringt jede historische Sprache ein anderes Weltbild zustande?

Notwendig sind Abiturkenntnisse in Deutsch (insbesondere zum wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten). Zum Auffrischen seien empfohlen:
