Die Vorlesung gibt einen Überblick über grundlegende Aspekte der Klinischen Psychologie als Wissenschaft und wissenschaftliche Praxis. Es werden die wichtigsten Paradigmen, Forschungsmethoden und Anwendungsbereiche des Faches dargestellt. Bezüge zu den psychologischen, biologischen und sozialen Grundlagen psychischer Störungen werden hergestellt, wobei auch die Entwicklungspsychopathologie als integrative Perspektive beachtet wird. Dabei wird auch die Stellung der Klinischen Psychologie im Gesundheitswesen, ihre Beziehung zu anderen Disziplinen sowie rechtliche und ethische Aspekte verdeutlich

Die Modulprüfung wird durch eine Klausur im Umfang von 90 Minuten über die Inhalte von M.1 und M.2 am Ende des Moduls erbracht.
