Dieses Seminar stellt eine Einführung in die Bedeutung und Forschung des deutschen Sozialstaats dar.
Im ersten Teil der Veranstaltung, beschäftigen wir uns mit der Definition von Sozialpolitik, den Besonderheiten des deutschen Sozialstaats, seiner geschichtlichen Entwicklung und der unterschiedlichen Modelle im geteilten Deutschland.
Im zweiten Teil betrachten wir verschiedene sozialpolitische Felder. Das beinhaltet: Renten- und Arbeitslosenversicherung, Familienpolitik und Gesundheitspolitik.
Im dritten Teil der Veranstaltung diskutieren wir das deutsche Sozialstaatsmodell international und transnational, das heißt im Kontext der vergleichenden Wohlfahrtsstaatsforschung, und im Kontext von Theorien der Mehrebenenpolitik.
Im abschließenden Teil beschäftigen wir uns konkreter mit den Ebenen deutscher Sozialpolitik (Europäische Sozialpolitik, nationale Sozialpolitik und sub-nationale Sozialpolitik).
Die Veranstaltung ist als Einführungsseminar konzipiert. Es werden keine spezifischen Vorkenntnisse erwartet.
