230818 Englisch: Discussing Current Topics (level B2+ und C1) (S) (SoSe 2010)

Contents, comment

This course aims to provide a platform on which students on B2+ or C1 level can practice their speaking skills. After a few preparatory sessions we will move on to structured group discussions dealing with topics of current interest. The topics will be prepared using newspaper articles or other text material (mainly from the Internet) and/or audio material on the topics in question. Participants will practice a set of strategies designed to help them extract relevant points from a source, build up their vocabulary as well as hone their discourse management.

Requirements for participation, required level

Successful completion of another course at B2+/C1-level or C-Test of the Language Center (for dates please see http://www.uni-bielefeld.de/fachsprachenzentrum/tests.html)
