In der angeleiteten Reflexion der Externen Praktika werden die Inhalte der Praktika bewertet und das Therapeutenverhalten diskutiert. Im Praktikum erwerben die Studierenden klinisch-praktische Kompetenzen in der Durchführung und Interpretation diagnostischer Verfahren und in der Umsetzung therapeutischer Maßnahmen.
Die spezifischen didaktischen Anforderungen an die Therapie und Intervention werden praktisch erfahren, und in eigenen Therapiesequenzen werden Strategien und Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten eingeübt.
