Vielen Menschen bleibt das "Vokabelpauken" im Fremdsprachenunterricht nachhaltig in schlechter Erinnerung – oftmals im Gegensatz zum "eingepaukten" fremdsprachigen Wortschatz selbst. Wie entsteht ein mentale Lexikon und in welchem Maße ist Wortschatzlernen überhaupt notwendig und möglich? Welchen Wortschatz muss man im Bereich DaF/DaZ vermitteln? Und wie verhält es sich mit Wörtern, die "irgendwie" zusammengehören und als Ganzes gelernt und abgerufen werden? Welche Vermittlungstechniken kann ich als Lehrer anwenden und wie werden diese von den Lernern angenommen? Gibt es Unterschiede zwischen Deutsch als Fremd- und Deutsch als Zweitsprache? Diese und andere Fragen beschäftigen uns in diesem Seminar, in dem es um Bausteine der deutschen Sprache geht, ohne die nichts geht.
