Schulpädagogik als Theorie pädagogischen Handelns fragt unter jeweils konkreten historischen Entwicklungsbedingungen nach den Voraussetzungen und Möglichkeiten, Zielsetzungen und Konzepten von Bildung und Erziehung in der Schule. Dabei wird die Auffassung geteilt, dass Schultheorie und Unterrichtstheorie gemeinsam die innere Strukturierung der Schulpädagogik leisten. Demzufolge ist die Hauptfragestellung der Vorlesung auf das wechselseitige Beziehungsgeflecht zwischen Aussagen der Schul- und Unterrichtstheorie einerseits und dem pädagogischen Handeln in der Schulpraxis - u. a. durch Vermittlung von Grundlagen und Theorien der Didaktik - andererseits gerichtet.
