Gegenstand der Veranstaltung ist die deutsche Syntax in deskriptiver und theoretischer Hinsicht. Der deskriptive Teil der Veranstaltung knüpft an das in der linguistischen Fachportal-Veranstaltung erworbene Wissen im Bereich der syntaktischen Beschreibungs- und Analyseverfahren an. Dieses Grundlagenwissen wird aufgefrischt und vertieft und durch grammatiktheoretisches Wissen ergänzt. Dabei soll ausgehend von konkreten Phänomenen der deutschen Syntax eine Annäherung an die syntaktische Theoriebildung und Modellierung erfolgen.
Unterstützt wird die Präsenzlehre durch die e-Learning Plattform iLiAS, die den Studierenden die Gelegenheit bietet, die Inhalte der Lehrveranstaltung anhand von Übungsaufgaben nachzubereiten.
