Projekte und Initiativen sind wichtige Organisationsformen in der Kinder- und Jugendarbeit geworden. Ihre Stärke liegt darin, dass sie kurzfristig auf gesellschaftliche Probleme antworten und häufig mit neuen sozialen Bewegungen verbunden sind. Eine strukturelle Schwierigkeit liegt darin, dass der Aspekt der Vorläufigkeit und zeitlichen Begrenzung zunehmend institutionalisiert wird und die Integration von Projektergebnissen in eine Regelpraxis oft ungeklärt ist. Vor diesem Hintergrund dieses Spannungsverhältnisses sollen im Seminar strukturelle Bedingungen der Kinder- und Jungendarbeit in NRW, Entstehungszusammenhänge von Initiativen und die Praxis beispielhafter Projekte untersucht werden.
