Die „Lebenswelt Behinderung“ zeigt sich auf der einen Seite in alltäglichen Lebensbereichen wie Wohnsituation, Bildungs- und Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten sowie Freizeit- und Kulturangeboten für Menschen mit Behinderung. Auf der anderen Seite in Diskussion um medizinische, soziale und kulturelle Modelle von Behinderung. Mit Leitbegriffen wie Inklusion, Vielfalt, Teilhabe oder Partizipation ergeben sich daraus neue Perspektiven in eine selbstbestimmtere Zukunft für Menschen mit Behinderung, die jedoch nicht ohne ein deutliches Umdenken in Politik und Gesellschaft zu verwirklichen sind.
In diesem Seminar werden die unterschiedlichen Konzepte, sowie die aktuelle Situation in den Bereichen Wohnen, Arbeiten, Freizeit und Kultur vorgestellt und diskutiert. Einen besonderen Einblick werden dabei nicht zuletzt GastdozentInnen mit und ohne Behinderung bieten. Gleichzeitig gibt es vielfältige Möglichkeiten, durch die Teilnahme an einem Freizeitangebot für Menschen mit Behinderung in der Neuen Schmiede der von Bodelschwinghschen Stiftungen Bethel/Bielefeld, selber mit der Praxis in Kontakt zu kommen.
