230817 Englisch: Academic English Writing, level B2/C1 (S) (SoSe 2010)

Contents, comment

This course is designed to train students' skills in academic writing (i.e., the writing they have to produce in the academic context). The following topics will be covered:

• Paragraph organization
• development of arguments
• Style improvement (structural and lexical)
• Formats: Essays (exam essays), abstracts or summaries (as needed)

Requirements for participation, required level

Successful completion of another B2+-rated course or C-Test of the Language Center (for dates please see http://www.uni-bielefeld.de/fachsprachenzentrum/tests.html)
