Vergleichspraktiken entwickeln und verändern sich über die Zeit. Das Seminar widmet sich der Frage, wie die Entwicklung der Vergleichspraktiken mit Prozessen historischen Wandels zusammenhängt. Können bestimmte Prozesse historischen Wandels die Entwicklung der Vergleichspraktiken erklären? Und kann umgekehrt die Entwicklung bestimmter Vergleichspraktiken Prozesse historischen Wandels anstoßen und mitgestalten? Ziel des Seminars ist es, in der gemeinsamen Diskussion produktive Ansätze zur Beschreibung und Erklärung dieses Wechselverhältnisses zu identifizieren und zu erarbeiten.
Das Seminar findet teilweise gemeinsam mit der zeitgleich stattfindenden Method Class „Vergleichstypologien“ statt. Die Verbindung beider Seminare wird in der Vorbesprechung am 10. April 2019 von 10.00 bis 10.30 im Raum X-B2-103 näher erläutert.
Das Seminar richtet sich primär an DoktorandInnen des SFB 1288 Praktiken des Vergleichens. Weitere TeilnehmerInnen sind aber gerne willkommen.
