Im Zivilprozess sucht ein Bürger mit einer Klage sein (vermeintliches) Recht gegenüber der beklagten Partei vor Gericht (Erkenntnisverfahren). Für das erfolgversprechende Verhalten der Parteien und für die Tätigkeit des Gerichts sind besondere Regeln zu beachten, um deren Darstellung es in der Veranstaltung geht. Auch müssen Alternativen zur Streitaustragung durch gerichtliche Entscheidung berücksichtigt werden. Voraussetzungen und Ablauf des Prozesses sollen durch Beispielsfälle und Aktenauszüge verdeutlicht werden. Es ist auch der Besuch des Landgerichts und die Teilnahme an einer mündlichen Verhandlung geplant.
