Nach einer Einführung in zentrale Fragestellungen und Begriffe der Familiensoziologie und einem Überblick über wesentliche Strukturmerkmale des Politikfeldes Familienpolitik und seiner Entwicklungslinien werden wesentliche Aspekte des Wandels von Familie analysiert und aktuelle Entwicklungen in der Familienpolitik auf dem Hintergrund des Wandels von Familie und der Geschlechterverhältnisse diskutiert.
