Diese Veranstaltung ist der erste Teil einer 2-semestrigen Lehrforschung, in der wir uns zusammen in zentrale Themenbereiche der Sozialstrukturanalyse und der Analyse sozialer Ungleichheit einarbeiten. Das Ziel dieser Lehrforschung ist es, Kenntnisse des Statistikprogramms STATA sowie verschiedene statistische Verfahren (Panelregression oder Ereignisanalyse) zu vermitteln, die es ermöglichen eigene Analysen im Längsschnitt durchzuführen. In der Veranstaltung wird hauptsächlich mit dem SOEP gearbeitet, es ist den Teilnehmern aber freigestellt auch andere Längschnittdaten zu verwenden. Den Teilnehmern ist es zudem freigestellt ein eigenes oder vorgegebenes Thema zu bearbeiten. Themenbereiche können in der Lebenslauf-, Migrations- oder Arbeitsmarktforschung oder der Gesundheitssoziologie liegen sowie der Verbindung dieser verschiedenen Bereiche.
