Diese Veranstaltung richtet sich primär an Studierende der Fakultät für
Biologie. Bei Verfügbarkeit weiterer Plätze wird die Veranstaltung
zusätzlich für die Fakultäten Gesundheitswissenschaften, Physik,
Psychologie und Sportwissenschaft sowie Soziologie geöffnet.

Contents, comment

Zellbiologie und Systembiologie stellen eine wichtige Schnittstelle bei der stetig wachsenden Verzahnung von biologischen und medizinischen Fragestellungen dar, wie beispielsweise in der Herz-Kreislauf- und Tumorforschung. Molekulare Grundlagen von Erkrankungen können mit den neu entstehenden Forschungsansätzen besser untersucht werden als dies zuvor der Fall war. Dabei erfahren die Unterschiede bei Symptomen und Ausprägungen von Krankheiten zwischen Frauen und Männern, die durch unterschiedliche genetische und biologische Voraussetzungen begründet sind, immer mehr Aufmerksamkeit.
Im Seminar "Geschlechtsspezifische Aspekte in der Biomedizin" sollen Studierende anhand vorgegebener Literatur geschlechtsspezifische Aspekte herausarbeiten und diese Inhalte in einem Vortrag reflektieren und gegebenenfalls durch eigene Literaturvorschläge ergänzen.
