Nachdem das Seminar im Sommersemester Grundlagen zu Geschichte und Technik der Fotografie erarbeitet sowie einige wesentliche Genres/ Anwendungsgebiete näher betrachtet hat, sollen nun bedeutende und stilbildende Fotografen bzw. Fotografinnen anhand ihrer Arbeit vorgestellt werden - dies kann, so gegeben, auch mittels einzelner Fotos exemplarisch geschehen. Die kaum übersehbare Menge und Vielfalt hier infrage kommender Protagonisten macht eine (auch willkürliche) Beschränkung auf einige wenige, wichtige Vertreter naturgemäß unumgänglich.
Die Veranstaltung hat keinen Vorlesungscharakter. Stattdessen soll, nach jeweils einführenden Worten bzw. Vorträgen (vor allem der Studierenden!) in ergebnisoffenem Gespräch/ Diskurs eine gemeinsame Annäherung an das jeweilige Thema versucht werden.
