230359 Young Adult Fiction (S) (WiSe 2018/2019)

Contents, comment

This seminar discusses several YAF novels in detail - as well as the question why, and how, these novels may be appealing for learners at school. We will turn to generic aspects shared by many YAF novels, such as the quest (for one's identity), and the coping with difficult (social) situations.
We will also develop text-based as well as creative tasks geared towards the recipients, and consider ways how to differentiate these tasks in a heterogeneous classroom, and develop conceptions for literature lessons.
