Contents, comment

This seminar will introduce you to a variety of different influential theories and approaches in linguistics, for example structuralism, generative grammar, functional linguistics, sociolinguistics, and cognitive linguistics. We will explore similarities and differences between these theories and pay particular attention to how they have influenced each other.
