392109 Algorithmen in der Genomforschung (V) (WiSe 2009/2010)

Die funktionelle Analyse molekularer Genomdaten ist eine der großen
Herausforderungen an die Bioinformatik. In dieser Veranstaltung werden die
Grundlagen für bioinformatische Techniken in der Genomforschung
behandelt. Hierunter fallen Algorithmen zur Genomkartierung und

  • assemblierung, Methoden zur funktionellen Genomannotation, insbesondere

Genvorhersage und -funktionsbestimmung, Verfahren zur Analyse von
DNA-Microarrays und Massenspektren, Methoden und Modelle zur
Proteinstrukturvorhersage sowie Algorithmen zum Vergleich zweier oder
mehrerer Genome.

Vom Ablauf her wird sich die Vorlesung an den folgenden drei Fragen
orientieren:

  • Wo liegen die Gene im Genom?
  • Was sind das für Gene?
  • Wann und wie treten sie in Aktion?
