Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Bachelorstudierende des Kern- und Nebenfaches Geschichte, die eine Profilbildung für das Lehramt an Grund-, Haupt- und Realschulen (Schwerpunkt: Grundschule) anstreben. Für den fächerübergreifenden Sachkundeunterricht soll das Thema „Bielefeld“ aufgegriffen werden; im ersten Teil sind vielfältige Sachinformationen zur Stadt Bielefeld [Geschichte (inkl. Sparrenburg und Thema Ritter), Lage, Einwohnerzahlen, Stadtpläne, Einwohnerzahlen, Politik etc. etc.] zusammenzutragen. Diese sind dann im zweiten Abschnitt der Veranstaltung didaktisch und methodisch für den Unterricht an Grundschulen aufzubereiten, um dann eine komplette Unterrichtseinheit (inkl. Arbeitsblätter etc.) vorliegen zu haben.
